TRADITIONAL AMAZONIAN SEED RATTLE
This handcrafted rattle is a traditional indigenous ceremonial instrument from the Colombian/Ecuatorian region of the Amazons.
Made by a grandmother from the Koreguaje people in Putumayo, Colombia. This instrument is mainly crafted from materials from the land, the sound is created from the Congolo seeds.
The ‘Koreguaje’ people are one of the existing tribes in the western Amazons in southern Colombia in the region of Caqueta and Putumayo currently in danger of extinction due to many issues including land graving, deforestation, illegal mining etc, the ‘Koreguaje’ people call themselves ‘guardians of the forest’.
Traditionally use in ceremonial rites, this instrument has a powerfully refine and yet subtle sound. Helping to clear up any energetic blockage and negativity in the body and in the space, while calling in the spirit of nature.
We personally enjoy connecting with this sacred tool not only in ceremonies, but also to use in moments of solitude to connect we are own voice and song.
A must have tool for sound healers and a like.
